This triple ocarina has its two outer chambers chambers tuned in unison, each playing a full diatonic octave through a crossfingering pattern, while the central chamber functions as a drone that plays a constant tonic note.
The sound is quite unique, with the option to play in unison between the chambers, or to play harmonies. The unison effect is similar to that of a 12-string guitar, adding a richness to the tone. As a result of the separation of the three chambers, the acoustic effect on the player is enchanting.
